Saturday's Run 1/27/2008 7:00AM

It was a bit bracing, this Saturday morning last, but 13 hearty souls were undaunted. It only shows that there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad equipment. Photos below are from Greg.

Saturday’ Run: It’s not the second Saturday, meet at Goold St. and Lake Ave. parking lot, if you dare, or park on the road. Amy, no more confrontational stuff with the old folks. 7:00 AM. Coffee at Java Vino

Well you foolishly left it up to me to decide where we will run this Saturday. So for I have, without error, guessed wrong on the weather and the best location. Likely, I will repeat myself. But the streets and bike trails are clear. We have some light snow and showers predicted for Thursday evening and Friday morning, clearing for Saturday. So, let’s do Colonial. (Park Here) If everything goes awry, we can run up that big hill and go north on the bike trail. If the footing permits, we can run the usual route.

We have 25 runners this last Saturday. Warm weather does that. This Saturday some are running the Goofy Challenge in Disney World and David is in Phoenix for a half marathon. Best of luck to all of you.

Colonial Route - 5.67 mi

It was a bit cold for our New Year’s day run but 8 hearty (foolish?) made the run. More joined us for Steve’s great omelet/ scrambled eggs. Carol is looking for the owner of a pair of shoes. Anyone running without shoes since Tuesday?

We selected the Lakeshore Towers for Saturday’s Run. (park here) We may have s clear bike path along the lake or we may be on sidewalks. I have given up trying to anticipate running conditions this year. Same time: 7AM. We went back and forth on coffee: Dunn Brothers or Java Vino. We should have it decided before we finish the run on Saturday.
