New Years Day and Saturday's run

Once again, Dave and Jane have graciously offered their home to us for our annual first run of the new year - Thank you greatly, Dave and Jane!!!

So here are the details for the first run of 2026 (1/1/26) we will be meeting at the Dave & Jane's for a 7:00 am run. Please bring a dish to pass....and goals for the New Year!

Saturday we will run the Olympia Brown Run - We start on 5 1/2 Mile Rd and Charles -- Park Here

The standard route will be a simple out and back to the south - 5 1/2 mile road to 3 mile road -- Map here the alternate route will be up to 6 mile and over to Douglas Ave -- Map here.

Coffee is TBD

Saturday and New Years Day

Saturday, 7:00 am, we will be running Oakes Road Run  --  Park here -- Route here and Here

Coffee will be at Panera.

For the first run of 2024 (Monday - 1/1/24) we will be meeting at the Dave & Jane's for a 7:00 am run. Please bring a dish to pass....and goals for the New Year! 

End of 2022 and the start of 2023

So we will end the year at the old Panera parking lot (Park here) to start our weekly run/walk....7:00 am start time as always.

Coffee will be at Panera (New Location!!).

AND....Start our year on Sunday at Dave & Jane's for a 7:00 am run. Please bring a dish to pass....and goals for the New Year!

New Year's Day Run 2022

Saturday, 1/1/22, the Paulson's have been nice enough to open their house for this year's staging (and coffee) for our first few miles of the year.  Park here and please be kind to their neighbors (address can be found on the link)...If you wish to bring something to pass please let the Paulson's know.

If we don't see you have a wonderful New Year and we will see you out on the road!!

As you are preparing for the New Year be sure that you mark your calendar for Jan 1st...We will continue to mark the first day of the year with a run!  Dave and Jane have once again warmly offered their home as the beginning and end of the run.  I'll include details in next week's post but for now plan on being there -- even if you are only coming to socialize!!

Saturday's Run -- New Years Day!!

It looks like our first run of the New Year will also be our regularly scheduled run!!

Greg's family have agreed to host the New Years Run once again this year so plan on meeting on Saturday at 1409 Pinecone Rdg

New Years Day Run

In years past we have run on New Year's Day so to start the year off with a few miles...now with New Year's Day being on a Friday and our regular run on Saturday you might be thinking "why not wait until Saturday...what's one more day?"

Do you really want to start off the New Year that way?

Neither do we.

Meet us at the Douglas Avenue Diner Friday at 8:00 am for a short run...and we will congregate at the Diner for coffee and breakfast (if you're so inclined) afterward.

New Year's Day Run

Greg and his wife have said that they would “love to host the run from our house this year”

So we should be set: We will meet at Greg’s house 1409 Pinecone Rdg at 8:00 a.m. on January 1st.

Greg even recommended a few routes for us listed below:

“Probably the same run we did last year from Carol's house although some of the shoulders are pretty narrow.

I think what we ran last year was 5.6 miles. Hwy H, Hwy K, Airline, to Hwy C



If you turn down Old Fancher to Gittings Rd, it is a 4 mile run.

Another option would be to run over to Old Spring, then down to the bike loop that we run for Panera #2.”

Last run of 2007. Cemetery Run (5.85 miles.) Coffee at Wilson’s. Park Here

First Run: Extending the tradition, New Year’s Day. Carol is hosting the run. Meet 2712 Airline Road. Start at 9:00 AM 8:00 AM. Airline to Spring to K to Airline. Greg home is about half way around, so water can be had there. I will have champagne from Moldova to start the New Year.
